PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Ensure plant and machinery in designated area is properly maintained and operating efficiently. The position requires a good understanding of preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance of food manufacturing equipment. The position requires a person who can work autonomously with minimal supervision.

This role will have day and night shift roster

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• At least Trade Certified in Fitter Machinist, Maintenance Fitter or equivalent
• Welding and Machining skills (mandatory)
• 3-5 years’ experience in food manufacturing plant (recommended)
• Can work with minimum supervision and be able to follow instructions
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings,
• Ability to modify, replace and commission mechanical equipment within a GMP environment.
• Extensive knowledge about process, fillers, closers, packaging equipment and conveyor systems
• Extensive experience of servicing and overhauling various pump types.
• Welding experience of aluminium, steel and stainless steel. MAW and TIG welding
• Able to use all workshop machines e.g. Lathes and milling machines
• Experience in repair and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with automation or robotics desired
