The Human Resource Management Advisor will work to improve the capacity of the Human Resources Division and the overall capacity of the RPNGC to implement HR systems and processes; meeting the current and emerging needs of the RPNGC in its endeavours to implement strategies aimed at delivering the National Government’s targets for the RPNGC and more broadly, the Law and Justice Sector. The overall strategic direction and approach will be guided and determined by the RPNGC Executive.
This Advisor will actively support the RPNGC Human Resources function by identifying and filling gaps in the governance framework and examining the payroll function. The successful applicant would work closely with the RPNGC Assistant Commissioner for the RPNGC Human Resources Division; the Director level personnel within the Division; and other PNG-Australia Policing Partnership Advisors. Based in Port Moresby but may require provincial travel.

1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline
2. Workforce planning training and experience
3. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
4. Good standards of spoken and written English
5. Demonstrated ability to re-prioritise and reallocate resources at short notice
6. High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
1. At least 7 years of experience in a similar role
2. Previous experience in an organisation in dealing with Executives and external stakeholders
3. Previous experience within a government Department and in private enterprise
4. Demonstrated ability to work across organisations to connect people and motivate them to a common goal

The Advisor’s would work and report to the RPNGC, while being accountable for their performance and fulfilling the reporting requirements of the PNG-APP Coordinator Staff, Security and Transition. Please note as these are senior roles conditions including remuneration will only be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
