The Shutdown Facilitator is the interface between Shutdown Planning and Fixed Plant Maintenance to ensure the outage process flows seamlessly between the two work groups by ensuring all resources, materials, spares and equipment are identified, sourced, kitted and staged prior to the outage execution

  • Assist the shutdown planning department by reviewing work order scopes to ensure correctresources and spares have been incorporated.
  • Assist with the identification of conflicts and synergies (SIMOPs) within the areas of the shutdown.
  • Attend risk assessment meetings and provide input into the risk assessment process.
  • Ensures spares and materials, including consumables are expedited to site and kitted and staged in work order format.
  • Mentor Material Controllers and other shutdown personnel in the correct shutdown processes.
  • Provide feedback that the work packs and schedule is correct and executable.
  • Ensure all tooling is serviceable, tagged and sufficient in numbers to execute the shutdown.
  • Ensure all pre shut activities are completed prior to commencement of outage. Including thestaging of parts.
  • Continuously liaise with the Shutdown Coordinators during the execution phase to ensure allresources, equipment and materials are available and being utilised to their full potential.
  • Ensure all spares, including rotatable items are returned to the SK&S area to be either re-kitted for future shuts , credited back to the warehouse or tagged and delivered to the appropriate repair authority.
