Job Title: National Electronic Technology Manager

Supervises: Primary: 15 Managers/Supervisors (Expat), 100 Plus National Staff. Secondary: Technicians, Trainee’s, Control Room Operators, Sales Staff, Drivers, Admin.

Job Summary:   Responsible for overall Technology operations, manages/supervises all staff. Designs, Sell, implement and manage/supervise new installations and service/maintenance for monitored Electronic Security systems, UPS Products and other associated Electrical / Electronic Products and Services. Such as Alarm Systems, Access Control, CCTV, Intercoms, Electric Gates, Tracking Systems, Two Way Radios, UPS Equipment, PV Solar Systems, Etc.

Location:  Lae, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

 

  • Responsible for Administration of Technical Sales, designing, planning, stock, sales. A daily operation in both field and internal area’s of company.
  • Provides detailed reports to the General Manager, feedback to department managers and supervisors to ensure jobs are well coordinated, assigned to proper staff, started on time, with correct equipment and finished to 100% completion within the allocated time, inclusive of all paperwork and final invoicing.
  • Completes on‐site quality assurance checking for final commissioning of all works above K25,000.00 and manages after sales and service departments, where required.
  • Ensures quality after‐sales service and that customer services commitments are fully met.
  • Design and provide training manuals for all systems and other electronic devices internally, provide and design customer documentation to suite.
  • Provides daily overview of the supervision, training and support for all non expat staff. Provides operational support to end users (customers) where needed as required.
  • Assist the General Manager in maintaining administrative systems such as HR, Accounts, Sales & Service, Stock & ordering, Invoicing.
  • Performs tasks and duties as being assigned in order to audit, maintain, update or improve on the successful delivery of customer service satisfaction guarantees.
  • To increase the company’s customer portfolio, improve sales and market share through customer referral from excellence in service.
  • Resolve Customer complaints promptly and fairly, investigate, report and identify cause and where needed adjust policy to avoid recurrence.

KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND DEMANDS

Knowledge:

A person interested in this position must have a hands on in depth technical knowledge of how to Design, to Sell, to Construct/Install, to Maintain/Service, to Manage Operations within a 24/7 customer service type business as generally seen within the Electronic Class Service Industries. A Sound practical knowledge within IT systems and programs at expert levels, electronic systems programs awareness, technology products and protocols and is aware of all relevant related standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum of Ten (10) years of relevant professional experience within a SMB or a corporate entity or self-employed. A Business Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Electronics/Telecommunications/Engineering or Electrical Trade qualifications with relevant qualified Industry experience in similar positions. A Craftsman or Master Tradesman or other Electronic Technical related field in past experience will be an advantage.

Has or Held a senior management position in a similar industry from where they can demonstrate required experience gained. Can show commitment, longevity and suitability by retained employment for at least 3 plus years in current/previous roles.
